Day 1

Arrival to Milan.

When arriving in a new city, I highly recommend leaving the first day relatively unplanned. This allows for flexibility in case of transportation delays, ensuring that missing out on scheduled activities won't dampen the trip's initial excitement.

Transportation:

·      If you are taking the train into Milan, then take it to Milano Centrale (I was amazed by the incredible opportunity to take a train from Switzerland and effortlessly travel into Italy. It was as easy as traveling between states in the United States.)

·      Uber is available.

·      Public transportation is very easy to use.

Hotel: Hilton Milan (Conveniently located next to the Milano Centrale train station)

Day 2

Tour the Duomo di Milano and the Rooftop. (2.5 hours)

The Duomo di Milano is a breathtaking architectural masterpiece located in the heart of Milan. This magnificent cathedral, with its intricate Gothic design, stands as a testament to the city's rich history and cultural heritage. Ascending to the rooftop, you see the are mesmerizing panoramic view of Milan, adorned with spires and statues. I was fortunate to have an entertaining tour guide that provided me a plethora of fun facts about the city.

Transportation:

·      Take the M3 train toward San Donato to Duomo.

·      15 min uber drive from my hotel.

Enjoy a Thai Massage

Although not a typical activity in Milan, I thoroughly enjoyed the invigorating experience of having my body stretched during a Thai Massage. The therapist uses their hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure on specific points along the body's energy lines, known as "sen." They also guided my body into various yoga-like stretches and positions, promoting flexibility and releasing tension. This holistic approach aims to restore the flow of energy, alleviate muscle stiffness, and improve overall well-being.
